Voltage measurement
For 750 V, 1500 V and 3000 V DC systems, isolation of up to 3600 V AC/DC continuous, isolation test voltage of up to 15 kV AC

Current measurement
With shunt resistor from ±30 mV, isolation of up to 3600 V AC/DC continuous, isolation test voltage of up to 15 kV AC

Temperature measurement
With Pt100 resistance thermometer, isolation of up to 6600 V AC/DC continuous, isolation test voltage of up to 15 kV AC

On Rolling Stock

Voltage measurement
Up to ±4500 V DC / ±3000 V AC, isolation of up to 4800 V AC/DC continuous, isolation test voltage of up to 20 kV AC

Current measurement

Knick offers highly isolating transducers for measuring voltage and current. P45000 is the high-voltage transducer with the smallest footprint and SIL 2. It is used for direct current measurement on board all trains driven with direct and alternating current.
P16800 makes it easy to retrofit rolling stock with control systems through the safe (SIL2/SIL4) conversion of speed sensor signals for odometry systems.
Substations for direct power supply up to the upper one-digit MW range and the grid segments they supply must be effectively secured against short-circuits. The protective mechanism must reliably interrupt high currents as quickly as possible and limit the power flowing into the short circuit.
