Monitoraggio di correnti continue elevate nell’industria pesante e di trasformazione

In molti settori dell’industria i processi di produzione e trasformazione di base richiedono l’impiego di correnti continue elevate. Tipici esempi sono i processi elettrolitici per ottenere metalli o per produrre sostanze chimiche, i processi di rivestimento dei metalli o la tecnica di saldatura ad arco. Inoltre, grazie alla loro facilità di regolazione e alla coppia costante in tutti gli intervalli di velocità, i motori a corrente continua continuano a essere preferiti in molte applicazioni industriali.

Industria DC - Cambio di paradigmi nell’alimentazione di corrente

A medio termine, anche la crescente alimentazione di corrente continua degli impianti industriali assumerà un ruolo importante. Dal momento che, rispetto all’alimentazione di corrente alternata esistente, le reti a corrente continua comportano notevoli semplificazioni dei sistemi e miglioramenti di efficienza, l’Open DC Alliance (ODCA) promuove un’introduzione capillare dell’alimentazione di corrente continua. L’ODCA, di cui Knick è uno dei membri fondatori, ha pubblicato un piano di sistema completo per l’introduzione delle reti di corrente continua negli impianti industriali. Lo sviluppo è ancora in fase iniziale, ma grazie ai vantaggi economici a dir poco enormi, cela un notevole potenziale per il futuro. In veste di leader nel campo dei sistemi di misura per le applicazioni industriali a corrente continua, seguiamo con grande interesse questo sviluppo. Perché Knick?
Quando si tratta della misurazione sicura di tensioni continue e correnti elevate in condizioni critiche, i trasmettitori ad alto isolamento Knick sono la prima scelta. Le tensioni fino a 4500 V DC o le correnti fino a 20000 A (tramite shunt) vengono rilevate dal trasmettitore ad alta tensione con un errore di guadagno inferiore allo 0,3 percento del valore misurato ed emesse come segnali standard da 4…20 mA. Grazie all’isolamento a 3 porte di serie e al comportamento di modo comune stabile dei trasmettitori shunt, i lunghi percorsi di trasmissione, le elevate differenze di potenziale tra punti di misura e di controllo e i forti influssi CEM non rappresentano fonti di interferenza per la trasmissione di segnale.
