High Voltage Transducer for High-Voltage Hardware in Loop (HIL) testing
Knick is pleased to introduce the newest member of our High-Voltage Electrical Measurement family, the P42000D2!
Standing in at a width of only 45 mm, the P42000D2 sets a new benchmark for compact transducers with measurement and isolation capability to 2200 V DC. And with its impressive list of specifications tied to accuracy, speed, and safety, the P42000D2 is a great consideration for applications tied to Test and Measurement within Electric Automotive.
As voltages continue to rise in the industry due to demands tied to both vehicle power and charging speed, the need to test components and complete systems at higher and higher voltage thresholds will continue to present itself. With the P42000D2, manufacturers and testing personnel can standardize on a measurement and isolation solution that will meet and exceed these applications challenges both today… and tomorrow.
High-voltage Hardware in Loop (HIL) testing is one use case where the P42000D2 has shown to be particularly effective. With HIL, it is often common to see high-voltage components at either the input or output sides of a testing setup, depending on the simulation being run. Knick transducers and signal conditioners contain high levels of transformer-based voltage isolation for both input and output channels, meaning that protection is established independent of where the high-voltage component is found in the system architecture.
In addition to making no compromises with accuracy, speed, and safety, the P42000D2 also brings flexibility. This is seen with its 45 mm wide, din-rail housing, especially useful when space is at a premium. However, it is also found with its configurable input and output settings and universal power supply, meaning that it can be adapted to fit within many different application and installation scenarios.
